'Hedwig and the Angry Itch' Getting a 4K Release from Criterion!!
We are so absolutely thrilled to announce that Criterion is releasing Hedwig and the Angry Inch digitally remastered, on 4K, with a whole mess o' goodies. (Seriously though, Hegwig is one of >this< reporter's favorite films and theater experiences ever.)
According to Spin:
Criterion's package includes audio commentary from John Cameron Mitchell and cinematographer Frank DeMarco, deleted scenes, a 2003 documentary about the film's development, a video about the film's legacy as told through its memorabilia, and a conversation between Rolling Stone critic David Fricke and composer Stephen Trask about the film's soundtrack, among other bonuses. TIME critic Stephanie Zacharek penned the film's booklet essay.
