Logo And Title Treatment For Bumblebee: The Movie Revealed
Here's a movie we all forgot was happening: the Bumblebee Transformers spinoff. The first in a promised Transformers cinematic universe, this movie looks to take us back to the 1980s. The movie isn't due out until late next year, but it appears to have just wrapped production after it began filming late July. According to Transformers World 2005 and star Hailee Steinfeld's Instagram account, the production has wrapped, and Steinfeld showed off a logo and title treatment for the movie.
We don't know that much about this movie so far, aside from the fact that it's going to have a lot of special effects considering it has wrapped more than a year before release. But it's interesting that this movie is going forward, seeing that the most recent Transformers movie was a box office dud and was critically panned — even by the standards of a Transformers movie. They're saying this one will be different, but the question of whether anyone will want to see a down-to-earth Transformers movie remains.
Summary: On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.
Bumblebee: The Movie, directed by Travis Knight, stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Rachel Crow, and Pamela Adlon. It will be released on December 21, 2018.
