Marvel Shares New Avengers: Infinity War Poster, But Is Scooped By Tom Holland

Ahead of tomorrow's debut of the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, and following the debut of the trailer for the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel has unveiled the poster for the movie, featuring a very exciting and even more revealing giant letter "A."

Marvel Studios posted the poster on their Twitter account, writing, "Check out the new teaser poster for Avengers #InfinityWar." You can't tell us what to do, Marvel Studios Twitter! We don't take our orders from… okay, fine, we'll check it out.

Marvel might have been planning to release the poster tomorrow along with the trailer, but they were apparently scooped by Tom Holland, the notoriously loose-lipped Spider-Man: Homecoming star, who accidentally revealed the poster on his Twitter earlier.

Of course, it's possible that Holland's slip-up, maybe even his entire feigned inability to keep a secret, was all part of a meticulously planned, years-long viral marketing plan, the payoff to which was the release of a poster a day earlier than a movie trailer.

In any case, tune in tomorrow when Mark Ruffalo accidentally leaves his phone on in his pocket while watching an early cut of the trailer on the throne two hours before it's meant to be released. Avengers Infinity War hits theaters in May.
