Is NBC's Powerless Canceled?
Bad news for people who watched one or two episodes of NBC's Powerless and thought to themselves, "this isn't the worst thing ever. Maybe one day when I'm really desperate for something to do, I'll come back and watch more of this." The show has been pulled from NBC's schedule, according to a report from popular Ariel Winter cleavage website ComicBook.com. "You must turn off your ad blocking software to view this article," reads the report. "We're glad you are here and we love creating free content, but we need Ads to keep the lights on and our writers fed. Please support our site by allowing ads."
Despite the report offering few details other than the implication that ComicBook.com keeps its writers trapped in its offices (possibly in the dark) and pays them in food, Bleeding Cool can confirm that the episode of Powerless scheduled to air this week has been replaced by an episode of Superstore, a different workplace comedy starring America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Mark McKinney, and Lauren Ash. instead of Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk, Ron Funches, and Alan Tudyk. Damn, that's gotta hurt — replaced, but not even by something necessarily better.
Of course, this doesn't officially mean the show is canceled (though the show wasn't renewed when other NBC shows were), but it doesn't look great, does it? Kind of like Powerless itself.
