Watch: The Oscar Nominations Announcement As It Happens

Well the big night is finally here, tinsel town is out in it's finest. Soon the awards ceremony itself will be kicking off and we'll find out if the members of the academy have fallen to the pressure to cheer on La La Land, or if they'll break with the expectations and head towards giving someone else the chance to shine this evening.

There was a bit of excitement earlier today as a set piece fell onto the stage (no one was injured), now to see if it holds together this evening. Also a side bet will be how many anti-Trump speeches and jokes there'll be.
