Rocket Raccoon Is Going To Ask If He Belongs In Guardians Of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Rocket Racoon was really well done in the first Guardians of the Galaxy. He obviously was funny and lived up to the silliness of a mean, walkin' and talkin' racoon, but he also had some genuine moments of heartfelt emotion.
It seems that the character might be going even deeper into 'real' or consequential themes in the sequel. Speaking to ComicBook, Sean Gunn, who plays Rocket on set before Bradley Cooper lends his voice, said that Rocket will begin to question if he even belongs in his new make shift family. He said:
Rocket has a lot of great stuff to do in this movie. There are a few relationships that are central to the theme of the movie and that really go towards keeping a family…and Rocket has the same sort of crisis of faith about whether or not he belongs in this family.
From everything said about this film thus far, it seems family is really going to be a massive part of this. It makes sense that Rocket only go on that journey too. I hope the film finds enough time to go deep here, as I love his character a lot.
