Shazam! Lights Up in New Image from the Upcoming DC Movie
The lead-up to the big reveals at Comic-Con International continue. We got some new Aquaman news this morning, and now Entertainment Weekly has shared another new image from Shazam!
The movie is rumored to drop its first trailer this coming weekend in Hall H during the Warner Bros. presentation. At the moment it's unclear whether or not this footage will be officially released outside of the convention, but considering how much hype some publications are giving this, maybe we will see something released to everyone.
Star Zachary Levi continues to look like a giant dork in all of the images we're getting from this movie, which is a nice change of pace compared to previous DC properties. The variety of tone is what's going to keep these movies interesting, and DC could use a movie with a similar tone to Ant-Man.
Summary: A boy is given the ability to become an adult superhero in times of need with a single magic word.
Shazam!, directed by David F. Sandberg, stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Asher Angel, and will be written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. It will be released on April 5th, 2019.
