Some Character And Costume Details For The Avengers: Age Of Ultron
JoBlo preface their report with some SPOILER WARNINGS so I'll go ahead and do the same, though I agree with their assessment that there's nothing in here that will really "spoil" the experience of watching The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Anyway, those guys have got their hands on some character-specific details about the film. And there's also some news on what the Avengers will be wearing.
Let's start with Ultron himself. JB say there will be three versions of Ultron throughout the film, with James Spader doing mo-cap to play at least one version. His purpose in the film is getting his hands on more Vibranium so he can keep upgrading himself. This of course leads to speculation that we'll be seeing some tease of Black Panther since Vibranium is from Wakanda in the comics (and they did some South Africa filming).
Vision, too, will be taking on different forms, and will not make his final, full reveal until the film's climax. Until then, it'll be classic green and yellow (though with probably toned down live-action tweaks).
Tony Stark is now bankrolling the Avengers and Stark Tower is now Avengers Tower, and not just because every other letter got knocked off and he got too lazy to put them back. He's also got his Iron Legion of Iron Man drones, though they may not be called that explicitly.
He's also bankrolling fancy new costumes for the team, with everyone sporting an Avengers logo on their new duds. Black Widow will have 2 new batons with shocking ability, while Hawkeye will have a new jacket and the Hulk gets some…. stretchy pants. Practical, if not quite as badass as other new accessories.
A forest battle will take place towards the beginning of the film, featuring our first "hero shot" of the entire team assembled, and this may be where they first encounter Baron von Strucker and "The Twins" Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as well.
Don Cheadle's War Machine and Anthony Mackie's Falcon may make cameo appearances, but nothing more substantial beyond that.
And…. done. See, not too bad, right? You can still totally enjoy the movie even armed with all this new knowledge.
