Supergirl: A Force To Be Reckoned With In Behind-The-Scenes Featurette

DC Studios and Warner Bros. released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Supergirl, following yesterday's trailer debut.

Yesterday, the official trailer for Supergirl dropped, and we know a lot more about the plot of the film. While the normal corners of the internet are reacting exactly how you're expecting them to, because of course they are, everyone else seems pretty excited for this new film following another member of the Superman Family. A new behind-the-scenes featurette was also released today. We see the cast and crew talk about Karais journey, and they all praise star Milly Alcock and her performance in the film. "A force to be reckoned with" could be applied to both the character of Supergirl and Alcock herself. The featurette didn't show us new footage of Jason Momoa as Lobo, but it's very clear he is having the time of his life, and however much we get from him in this movie is going to be memorable.

Supergirl: Summary, Cast List. Release Date

Supergirl, DC Studios' newest feature film to hit the big screen, will be in theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures, starring Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl/Kara Zor-El. Craig Gillespie directs the film from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

Alcock stars alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.

DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn are producing the film, which is based on characters from DC, Supergirl based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film is executive produced by Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars P. Winther. Behind the camera, Gillespie is joined by director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designers Anna B. Sheppard and Michael Mooney, Visual Effects Supervisor Geoffrey Baumann, music supervisor Susan Jacobs and composer Claudia Sarne.
