Will Supergirl Season 3 Introduce Us To Argo City?

This is an interesting tidbit for the upcoming Supergirl season that we can speculate on. Let's pull together a few pieces here. We know that Reign is going to be one of the big villains for the year, and that Odette Annable will be playing her. Reign is one of the Worldkillers created in the comics by writers Michael Green and Mike Johnson and artist Mahmud Asrar. In the comics, the Worldkillers were created in part by Kara's father, Zor-El, and he sent his daughter off to Earth in part as atonement for his guilt.

Back to the series. We also know that there was a recasting, Erica Durance replacing Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Supergirl's mother. Alura has been appearing occasionally in hologram form to help guide Kara, but not that much in Season 2. So why replace her at all?

Two likely reasons: first, the Reign story is going to flashback to Krypton to see Alura and Zor-El (Robert Grant) at the time of the Worldkiller's creation. The hologram could give Kara everything she needs to help defeat Reign.

Or, that interesting tidbit from TVLine that says: "The CW is looking for a fortysomething actress to play a mysterious and sexually compelling Kryptonian."

Which makes me think, if you're introducing more Kryptonians, either there is going to be a lot of Flashbacks in the new season… or someone is going to find Argo City. Well, Supergirl finds the ruins of Argo City in the comics, but what if Zor-El in the TV series finds a way to save more than just the city, but the people too? And that little portal Mon-El (Chris Wood) went into is to Argo City? For those who don't know, Argo City is the birthplace of Supergirl on Krypton.

However it works out, it seems like we're going to be getting a lot more Kryptonians in Supergirl Season 3.
