The New Black Canary Is Coming Soon

Left BehindLast night there was a screening of The Flash and Arrow crossovers and executive produce Andrew Kreisberg gave a brief interview to the Hollywood Reporter. In it he gave us a good idea of what's coming up for Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and just when we'd get to see her in all black.

"Laurel appears in the Arrow episode. She's not as present in these episodes, but that is because we've been building up to her appearance as the Black Canary. We sort of said that Sara was the Canary, but Laurel is the Black Canary. Episodes 10, 11 and 12 are a three-part trilogy that are about her. And episode 13 I think I can spoil, is called 'Canaries.' For fans of Laurel and for fans of Katie [Cassidy], they're going to get more than their fill after the winter break."

Left BehindNow this might have to do with the mystery of Sara Lance's death, which according to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, gets a push forward by S.T.A.R. Labs.

"There is a major step forward in the Canary mystery. We have the folks at S.T.A.R. Labs in Central City, and they're pretty scientific. They've got a lot of resources at their disposal, and it would be kind of a shame to not have Team Arrow lean on them a little bit to help solve this mystery."

So it looks like they will be dealing with the murder mystery upon returning in the winter/spring. I just hope they get around to telling Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) about his daughter soon… its hard to watch him not knowing.
