The Russo Brothers Deny Silver Surfer Rumors and Talk Team Rosters

There have been a lot of rumors going around about Avengers: Infinity War. No one really knows much about the movie so people are starting to gossip more and more. One of the big rumors is that characters for the upcoming Fox-Disney deal with make an appearance despite the fact that the ink on that deal hasn't dried yet. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo recently spoke to Yahoo Movies and denied one of the latest rumors going around regarding the Silver Surfer.

"I don't think we own Silver Surfer," Joe Russo says. "But it's fan-wish fulfillment and, you know, if this Disney-Fox deal goes through there's going to be a lot more characters coming into the Marvel universe, so some of those crazy fan theories might come true."

The Russo Brothers Deny Silver Surfer Rumors and Talk Team Rosters

This is a huge movie with an absolutely insane cast. However, a good portion of the Marvel Universe is off limits because of the Fox-Disney deal but the Russo's were quite happy with the characters that they got to play with.

"We look at the poster and think 'who's left?' I don't know who we didn't get," Joe says.

"It's hard to second guess, you know, part of the beauty of these movies is that there are so many different directions that you can go," Anthony continues. "There are so many different choices you can make and I think that's part of the fun of the process for Joe and I, in those early days, feeling out where we want to go with the movie, sitting with Marcus and McFeely and the writers, talking through all the possibilities, and once you center on a road, just running with it. I don't think we have any regrets about the choices we've made I think we're very happy with it, but yeah, the material is infinitely malleable."

The Russo's had enough on their plates without trying to make anything related to the Fantastic Four or X-Men canon. We're all still waiting to see if they stick the landing with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4. If they do it'll be another big step forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
