Comics were entertainment in the past, but today it's more about the appreciation of creative works," Wan said.
The small market had forced many comics artists to diversify into advertising, design, illustrations and even teaching.
A HEAD FOR TELEVISION
eHarmony's down screen is a little Saga-ish…
If you have something you'd like to see run in Runaround, get in[...]
Staples came across like a rather shy, very humble person, with a sweet and subtle voice revealing the artistic personality of Saga is very much dear to her.
The third arc of the Brian K Vaughan written Saga will start coming out in August, and fans can also look forward to Staples doing a number of[...]
Cameron Hatheway writes;
I've always found the following category to be a little tricky; a continuing series means one that has been around for more than a year, right? Because if it's still relatively new, what's keeping a great series from sweeping both Best Continuing Series and Best New Series? This year's crop of contenders has[...]
The supporting cast of characters is great, and Aja's use of color and facial expressions are just plain fantastic.
Saga, by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples (Image)
The series that brought Vaughan back to the comics medium definitely lives up to the hype Telling a story reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet meets The Fifth Element,[...]
We're starting to see the same happen to Saga as well…
With the news that Angela was to join the Marvel Universe, including appearances in Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy, Spawn #9 has massively heated up Selling in the dollar bins due to everyone having copies at one point, with a print run[...]
saga 12
BKV on Saga #12: "As has hopefully been clear from the first page of our first issue, SAGA is a series for the proverbial "mature reader." Unfortunately, because of two postage stamp-sized images of gay sex, Apple is banning tomorrow's SAGA #12 from being sold through any iOS apps This is a drag, especially[...]
A few comics I found myself reading today... ANOTHER BRICK IN THE FOURTH WALL I always like it when characters say exactly what I've been thinking for the
But others make a good stab, including Nightwing, Saga, Star Trek, Vibe and Black Beetle And the long delayed Dexter comic seems to be recovering from jaded retailers having to order it twice.
While on comics that have already been published, Adventure Time, Chris Ware and Saga break through The Walking Dead's traditional grip on this[...]
Advance reorders on Uncanny X-Men #1 are at the top of the chart, but challenged by the Walking Dead Governor Special as retailers wake up to the news that its schedule has been shunted forward to coincide with the return of the TV show to the schedule.
Star Wars #2 makes a strong showing, reflecting demand[...]
NEW AVENGERS, SAVAGE WOLVERINE, LEGEND OF LUTHER STRODE, THE END TIMES OF BRAM AND BEN, SAGA, MARS ATTACKS POPEYE, BATMAN DEATH OF THE FAMILY and more!
It's been a quiet few past weeks in the comics publishing world so I've taken the time off the column to prepare an extra special year-end retrospective that should follow[...]
That Eisner insignia is on that cover for a reason, folks.
Saga #9 by Fiona Staples
This is my favorite cover of the week, hands down Twistedly erotic, this homage to the Fabio romance covers from decades past is the perfect way to sum-up the relationship between The Will and the Stalk While meant to be sexy,[...]
Batman #16 steals the top spot in Great Britain, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Mexico, France, Italy and India, while All New X-Men #6 is first in Brazil, The Walking Dead #106 steal the spotlight in Philippines and Spain, while Saga #9 comes in number one in Germany, Russia, Sweden and Norway Something called Okko Vol[...]
Remember, suitcases don't kill people…
All children should say that when asked this question, whether in Saga or not Eventually they'll meet someone who believes them.
The power of narration with seemingly unconnected images in Crossed The mental instability and the impending death so neatly tied together.
Fashion Beast takes its film origins and uses them as a[...]

Hey Fandom! Saga #9 is out! I love this book so much I'll be giving away the second print of #7 with the first volume! Jump on this book in the single issues and feel all the feels of each cliffhanger in real time with 30 days in between!
Savage Wolverine was beautifully drawn[...]
But retailers seem to have responded well to Image's decision to reprint Saga #7 and offer incentives to increase orders on future issues with Saga #9.
Avengers #4 also gets a show in, based on the impressive performance of the first Avengers issue in stores, and current news seems to be driving reorders of Superior Spider-Man[...]
Don't worry, it's not sexist, it's ironic.
Ther's more nudity in Saga of course, even if its of the giant testicle kind Family family fights get exacerbated due to magic and science… but so do family coming-together-agains.
Nightwing of course brings us the death of the family.
While A Plus X has the regrets of a divorce[...]
He writes;
Greetings, retail partners!
As promised in the letter we sent out regarding Saga #7, I wanted take a few moments to further explain our reprint policy
First off, "policy" is a terribly impersonal word, and honestly, I don't sit here and think of each decision as "policy." Like you, I'm just looking for the[...]

Hey Fandom!
This week we start with SAGA #8 and I weigh in on the Image reprint snafu Then there's Locke & Key and Chew to prove that I love creator owned books! I really do!
Then I become a company man for DC and Marvel, but only for their best books[...]
That's frustrating.
It's doubly frustrating when a book like Saga, a bonafide hit by the creator of Y: The Last Man, Runaways and Pride of Baghdad, Brian K Vaughan, and his insanely talented collaborator Fiona Staples, continues to sell out even as it gets deeper into its run We did five printings of issue one, three[...]
Saga #7 and #8 were specific titles and De Guzman pointed out a number of books that orders were dropping on while popularity was rising.
So I asked a number of retailers for their thoughts.
Dan Wallace of Impulse Creations, Tulsa, OK
My only reaction is that I have never ordered with any thought given to the likelihood[...]
FOC stands for Final Order Cutoff, the last date retailers can order quantities of a comic from specific publishers and be sure of receiving copies (unless they are printed overseas, apparently.)
In a letter to retailers, Image PR & Marketing Director Jennifer de Guzman wrote;
I have some bad news: SAGA #7 is sold out[...]
Come on guys, there's still a month and a half to go! Have you even read the new Grandville yet?

::Single Tear:: India may have showered love upon BKV & Fiona Staples' Saga #7, but man if that book doesn't rule the world right now, showing up on every single country chart with the exception of China, Japan and Greece So what is Japan loving instead? Like you had to ask IT'S ALWAYS LIL' BATMAN[...]
Now, bring on the jingoistic rhetoric! It's all gone rather "do you think this stands for France?"
Saga #7 gives us tales of sectarianism, in-laws and the largest testicles you've seen in your life And they don't even match Ireland, Israel/Palestine, wings and horns, when it comes down to it, it's all a load of balls.
While Batgirl[...]
Kate Kotler writes for Bleeding Cool;
Saga – by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples, from Image Comics – has been one of the most talked about and celebrated comic series of 2012.
This makes it a very hard book to review, given that pretty much every gushing compliment imaginable has been bestowed upon the book, which[...]
Finally Avengers Assemble was FUN! Science Bros: Tony & Bruce!
Creator owned books had the new Saga, Walking Dead, Locke & Key Great Pacific #1 is wild concept, an industrialist is saving the world by first cleaning up an industrial mess! Finally, Fables: Werewolves of the Heartland! An original hardcover by Willingham staring Bigsby!
Thanks for watching[...]
A "Ghost Variant" variant cover, commissioned through some secretive process and made available to a select group of stores, only to be revealed on the day it comes out.
Or on the day before, if Bleeding Cool gets there first.
And it seems that, following Walking Dead #101, the second Ghost Variant will be Saga #7.
The third[...]
