Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Transformers And Power Rangers Get Schooled At Walmart…

Walmart goes back to school with Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman, the Power Rangers and Transformers along with background vocals from Whitesnake in a new ad from New York's Saatchi & Saatchi.

Apparently, confidence comes with the right branding. And a little eighties nostalgia as well from the parents who probably buy all the stuff.

Marc Forster (World War Z, Quantum of Solace) directed the spot, and is part of Walmart's broader "Life's Greatest Hits" campaign, begun last year and featuring ads backed by mostly rock anthems, including Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again", Gary Wright's "DreamWeaver" and DJ Khaled's "All I Do Is Win".

C'mon, capitalist exploitation of childhood memories and loyalties for profit at a time when media discernment is not exactly high aside, you've got to give it to them for this one.
