Black Lightning Season 1: Anissa Talks Super Heroes with Grace Choi
In the first episode of Black Lightning we got to meet Chenoa (Shein Mompremier), the girlfriend of Anissa Pierce (Nafessa Williams). We also saw that things were less than great though as there were some issues coming up even after Anissa had been kidnapped. We found out some time back that the series was also going to introduce Grace Choi (Chantal Thuy), another member of the comic book team the Outsiders. In the comics Grace and Anissa are together. The scene below from tonight's episode shows Anissa and Grace talking at a bar where Grace is working. They have a discussion about Super Heroes and how lonely they can be having to keep their secrets.
Ad that to the photo above of Grace holding a comic book out to Anissa, and it seems pretty obvious that Grace will be helping Anissa deal with her new powers. But will Grace have the strenght, endurance and healing abilities of her comic book counterpart remains to be seen.
Black Lightning airs tonight at 9 PM on the CW.
