Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Entertainment District Arc E07 Review

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Entertainment District Arc "Transformation" was a phenomenal follow-up to the episode before it. The anime just keeps getting better and better. The fight scenes in this episode were fantastic and quite gruesome. This season has surprised me with its brutality and I am a-okay with that. The character development and storyline continue to grow on me more and more. I will forever keep repeating that Demon Slayer has truly benefited from being animated: it has made me love the characters and appreciate them infinitely more than I did when I read it— it has managed to both elaborate upon the source material while still continuing to keep things flowing smoothly.

Well, Nezuko has come to Tanjiro's defense against Daki, proving that her power and regeneration speed are up to par with those of an upper-rank demon, if not more so. Nezuko quickly gets the best out of Daki and seemed to really enjoy the power she was inflicting on Daki. Things suddenly start taking a pretty macabre twist and Nezuko seemed to start losing her grasp on humanity. Daki pretty much destroys Nezuko's body, though Nexuko's demon blood art is too powerful. So even though Daki decapitated her, her blood kept her limbs attached.

The fight quickly begins getting larger in scale and the destruction is reaching homes that had not been touched yet, hurting humans. I feel this is the first time we truly see when tragedy strikes bystanders, I like seeing that they cannot quite disconnect from the real world and that sometimes there are casualties. While it can be a little heartbreaking or triggering, it makes it more believable in the context of the story and what they do. Well, after sniffing blood Nezuko loses it and Tanjiro stops her at the right time. Thankfully Tengen arrived at the perfect moment to keep Daki from killing everyone. Have I mentioned how awesome the Sound Hashira is? I am willing to apply to be his 4th wife.

Seeing Tengen's back and forth with Daki was pretty hysterical; he even managed to get a tantrum from the demon as he kept insisting she was not an upper moon demon. This forced her brother, Gyutaro, out of the shadows and we realize he is the main force behind Upper Moon 6. In a sweet and disturbing exchange, he fixes up Daki and starts fighting Tengen. I can imagine the fight is about to get real and I am here for it and especially looking forward to the visuals. This season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Entertainment District Arc has been the bomb-dot-com and I cannot wait to see how things unfold.
