Earlier this month, fans of Eric Andre (because who doesn't love Adult Swim's The Eric Andre Show?) got the good news that Cartoon Network's ever-expanding late-night programming block would be screening Eric André Live Near Broadway on Thursday, January 18th (at midnight ET/PT, the next day on Max). The special features André's lo-fi brand of late-night entertainment and punk rock comedy, with his performance at Terminal 5 in New York City being the basis for the half-hour special. Expect to see the amazing Billy Porter as well as fan-favorite characters The Grim Reaper and The Fridge Keeper – and more (spoilers, people!). "We're spilling ranch-covered nightmares across America, and now we're entering your home thanks to Adult Swim," Eric André (who executive-produces with Mike Rosenstein) shared about the special when the news was first announced. Now, we have a teaser trailer offering us some looks at what we can expect – and it answered our question about how well the show could translate to the stage. Very well… and very messy.
The Eric Andre Show: Looking Back at Season 6
Invoking the tantric swag of sex god Eros, season six is guaranteed to be the most high-octane, stone-cold, no-holds-barred, mind-blowing, emotionally mature late-night show in the history of mankind. Eric Andre is back behind the desk like never before; ripped, shredded, full of energy, complete with beads of sweat dripping down from his taut nips onto his glistening six-pack abs. Watch pampered celebrities regret their choices, rappers get the runaround, and a slate of street pranks so egregious they collectively inspired a record 30 phone calls to 911. And don't forget that the line-up of familiar faces this season included Natasha Lyonne, Jaleel White, Blac Chyna, Jon Hamm, Lil Nas X, Drew Barrymore, Raven-Symoné, Diplo, Daymond John, Meagan Good, Rico Nasty, Waka Flocka Flame, Tinashe, Cypress Hill, Lil Yachty, Cheech Marin, and more. Now, here's a look back at the official trailer as well as a collection of the season's intros:
