Law & Order, SVU & Organized Crime Get Official Key Art Return Posters

Returning on January 18th, here's a look at some key art posters for Law & Order and spinoffs "Special Victims Unit" and "Organized Crime."

Can you hear it? No, not the sounds of holiday bells – we've moved passed that. We're talking about the famous "DUN-DUN" sound, getting louder and louder as we inch closer to the return of executive producer Dick Wolf's "Law & Order" universe to NBC. Heading into next month's season returns, we've gotten word of some casting changes on "SVU" and that Christopher Meloni's Elliot Stabler (Meloni) was getting some on-screen family members (more on that in a minute) over on "Organized Crime" Now, we've got new key art posters for the shows' returns – spotlighting Meloni, "SVU" star Mariska Hargitay, and the ensemble cast from the flagship series while establishing each show's respective themes:

Now, here's a previously-released trailer for the returns of Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Law & Order: Organized Crime – all set to hit NBC screens on Thursday, January 18th:

Law & Order: Organized Crime Becomes a Family Affair

Earlier this month, we learned that Dean Norris (Breaking Bad, Under the Dome) had been tapped for a major recurring role for a multi-episode arc. Norris' Randall Stabler is Stabler's older brother who left the family when he was young and now is a successful real estate developer – but Randall has a long-standing tension with Elliot resulting from an event involving their father. In addition, initial reporting describes Stabler's other brother, Joe Jr., as being the youngest brother, who spent 15-ish years in the Army before being dishonorably discharged (though he hasn't said exactly why). He now works for a British wine merchant, doing a little of this, a little of that — and there's something about the work that makes him ashamed to come face-to-face with Elliot, his hero. In addition, the spinoff also sees John Shiban (Ozark) taking over as the show's sixth showrunner.
