Patton Oswalt Confirms He Will Be Voicing M.O.D.O.K. and Teases the Series
It's still a little weird that we live in a world where Marvel Studios announced four animated shows and one of them is going to star M.O.D.O.K. It's a little amazing and mindblowing that someone with a Hulu subscription is about to learn who M.O.D.O.K. is without having to look through multiple pages on Wikipedia.
One of the people bringing M.O.D.O.K. to life is Comedian Patton Oswalt. Oswalt recently appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers to talk a bit about the character and confirm he is voicing him.
"So, I'm going to be voicing him and it's going to be an animated cartoon. And what I love about M.O.D.O.K. is that he's a supervillain. He has super intelligence, he has a forehead beam, he has all of this technology but he is not on the A-level of like Doctor Doom or the Red Skull. So not only does he hate all the heroes he hates all the other villains because he's so resentful. So getting to play that is going to be really, really fun."
It's been a little unclear whether or not Oswalt was going to end up voicing M.O.D.O.K. so it's cool that we got this confirmation. Oswalt is a gifted comedian but he also manages to instill a lot of empathy in whatever character he ends up playing. It's a tough line to walk and we can't wait to see what direction he ends up going with this character.
