"Prodigal Son" Casts Dermot Mulroney as Blast from Jessica's Past
As if dealing with a brilliant-yet-serial-killer-ex and a son with some twisted issues of his own wasn't enough, Jessica (Bellamy Young) will be face-to-face with a ghost from her past during the March 30 episode of FOX's Prodigal Son.
Dermot Mulroney (The Righteous Gemstones) is set to recur during the season's final five episodes as Nicholas Endicott, described as a charming and sophisticated New York City billionaire and patron of the arts who is also an old friend of Jessica's from before Dr. Whitly aka "The Surgeon's" (Michael Sheen) arrest. When both witness a murder, Jessica and Nicholas are thrust back into each other's lives – much to Whitly and Bright's (Tom Payne) dislike.
But until then, here's a look at this week's episode "Eye of the Needle" (with Bleeding Cool's very own Margo Staten offering her pre-episode thoughts here):

"Prodigal Son" season 1, episode 14 "Eye of the Needle": Jessica continues to search for more information on the "Girl in the Box," but is confronted by the "Carousel Killer," who has a very public vendetta against the Whitlys. While the NYPD investigates families tied to Martin's victims, it's ultimately up to Malcolm and Jessica to track down the tip-line caller – turned killer – who is blackmailing her. Meanwhile, Ainsley receives a big promotion at work, but quickly realizes she may never escape the high demand for serial killer reports
Stemming from Emmy Award-nominated executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Riverdale, The Flash) and writers Chris Fedak (Deception, Chuck) and Sam Sklaver (Deception, Bored to Death), the series stars Payne (The Walking Dead), Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Sheen (Masters of Sex, Frost/Nixon), Young (Scandal), Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Lou Diamond Phillips (Longmire, Stand and Deliver), Halston Sage (The Orville), Perrineau (The Carmichael Show), Frank Harts (The Path), and Keiko Agena (Dirty John).
FOX's Prodigal Son airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
