Rick and Morty Should Avoid Those Wet Eggs in Promortyus Preview

Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's dimension-hopping duo returned Sunday night with a midseason kick-off that dumped "meta" on its head and reminded viewers that it's not easy trying to keep about eight creative plates spinning at the same time each episode (you can check out our review at the link below). So after an outing that saw way-too-ripped old men, the endless storyline cycle that is Life, and a whole bunch of potential fan-favorite future moments (like that sweet Evil Morty scene) now being called into question.

Think about it: how much of the series' midseason return trailer included clips that were shown (and apparently now crumpled up and thrown away) in the first episode? Safe to say well more than half, which on one hand definitely opens up the storyline possibilities. But to be honest, we were definitely looking forward to seeing Rick, Morty, and Snowball taking on Tammy, Phoenix Birdperson, the remnants of the Galactic Federation, and those dastardly cats. But there's no use crying over spilled potential storylines, not when we have the following preview for this Sunday's "Promortyus": an adventure the begins because Rick is too trusting of wet eggs (no, that's not some kind of sick innuendo).

Harmon, Roiland, and Adult Swim released an episode titles announcement video that gave a nice "wink-and-a-nod" to The Terminator before revealing the following loaded episode names (with loglines included). Beginning with return episode "Never Ricking Morty," we have "Promortyus" (Get off my face, broth), "The Vat of Acid Episode" (The one with the acid vat, broth), "Childrick of Mort" (Miracle of life, broth. Whole family in this one, broh.), and "Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri" (Parenting is crazy, broh. Stuff straight disappearin in this one).
