Skeleton Crew Star Jude Law Had "Blast" Filming, Starstruck by Jawas

Skeleton Crew star Jude Law had a "blast" filming the Disney+ & Lucasfilm series, sharing who he was starstruck over the most while filming.

During Star Wars Celebration, Disney+ & Lucasfilm's upcoming Jude Law-starring Star Wars: Skeleton Crew began its rollout of the streaming series. Set during the same time period as The Mandalorian, the series has been described as being a space-set version of the Spielberg/Amblin coming-of-age adventure films (like The Goonies) from the '80s. And during the show's panel presentation, Law & his young co-stars screened new footage for attendees (not released yet, sorry). But now, we have a look at what else Law has to share about "The Mandalorian" universe series during his recent visit to NBC's The Tonight Show with host Jimmy Fallon. Sharing that "it was a blast," Law explains what it was like working off of droids and creatures that were actually there in front of him and how much respect he has for the work that the puppeteers put in during filming. But it's Law's story about being starstruck when Jawas came walking by that's the highlight of the clip you're about to see. Though keep note of what Law says at the beginning of the conversation when Fallon reads the show's official overview. Law's response? "That's one perspective." Hmmm…

Stemming from director Jon Watts & writer Chris Ford, with Watts, Ford, Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni executive producing, the series will feature episodes directed by Jon Watts, David Lowery, The Daniels, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung. In addition, Law is joined in the cast by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe, and Kerry Condon. Now, here's a look at what Law had to share with Fallon regarding the series (beginning around the 1:25 mark):

Jon Favreau & Jude Law Discuss Skeleton Crew

Before his ceremony to receive his "star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this year, Favreau offered some quick updates on the project during his Variety profile. First up, if you're expecting any of the characters from Skeleton Crew to show up first on The Mandalorian (think Ahsoka & The Book of Boba Fett), Favreau confirmed that it's not going to happen. As for the series itself, Favreau says the experience has been "a real fun time" and that some "great filmmakers" have been making their creative impacts on the project. "Each storyteller brings their own personality to it. The groups that are working on ['Skeleton Crew'] are led by Jon Watts, whom I collaborated with on all the 'Spider-Man' movies. This has been a real fun time, and the great filmmakers that he's engaged with have been bringing their perspectives as well," Favreau shared.
