Sporting a full beard, a nicer haircut with a French braid that Jackson Lamb would vomit at, and almost certainly showered and smelling much better than the disgusting, slovenly spymaster he plays on Slow Horses (actors are not the characters they play, kids! In some cases, especially this one, THANK GOD!), Oldman said that Season Four was in the can and they start shooting Season Five in February, "Keeps me off the streets, still workin' at my age!" We still like the picture of Jackson Lamb with an ice cream cone.

When the third season of Slow Horses ended last week, there was already a teaser trailer for season four, which looks like it adapts the fourth and fifth books in the series, "Spook Street" and "London Rules." Oldman reminded the interviewer that there are currently nine books in the Slow Horses series or universe. author Mick Herron is currently writing the next one and said he's starting to imagine the ending for Lamb and Slough House. The release of the teaser trailer for Season Four indicates that the season had finished production months ago and is currently in postproduction. Apple TV almost certainly renewed the series before Season Three premiered but, as usual, held off news of the renewal until after the finale aired and the critical acclaim for the season was published in news outlets and social media. There's not a lot of marketing for Slow Horses, so it's a mark of the show's quality that each season gets more attention and more new fans.

When asked, Oldman said Slow Horses Season Five is set late in the year, possibly Winter, so Jackson Lamb will still be wearing his dirty, cigarette-stained overcoat. We're sure London will sigh a breath of relief. Lamb's body odour is hopefully less pronounced in the cold weather.
