Stranger Things U.S.S. Butterscotch Ice Cream Available at Baskin Robbins

Stranger Things fever is hitting everywhere right now, now that season 3 is finally streaming on Netflix. There are tie-ins everywhere, but none are as cool as what is happening over at Baskin Robbins. They are turning themselves into Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream shop Steve and Robin work at in the new season, part of Starcourt Mall. While they are offering an exclusive Steve Funko Pop and some other merchandise, it is the ice cream that Stranger Things will want to flock there for. They have multiple treats right now, from sundaes to Upside Down cones, all made with a special flavor of ice cream. The U.S.S. Butterscotch. We got a pint to enjoy during our binge this weekend, and after tasting it, so should you!

Presentation is everything, and for these food tie-ins, collectors like me need more than generic packaging. I am happy to report that the carton rules. From the Scoops Ahoy logo near the top, all the way to the U.S.S. Butterscotch logo, I love everything about this. Presentation gets an A+. This will be a welcome addition to my Stranger Things collection once i eat it all and clean it out.

Now, I am NOT a butterscotch fan. Not at all. But somehow this works. The butterscotch pieces are really hard, but if you get a big bite along with the toffee flavor, it has a slightly sweet aftertaste to it that is really enjoyable. The ice cream itself is like all other Baskin Robins ice cream. Really creamy, and somehow does not melt as fast as you would think. It all blends together for a really great summer treat, especially while watching the show.

So, while binging Stranger Things season 3 this weekend, swing on over to your local Baskin Robbins and either get one of the offered treats or a pint of U.S.S. Butterscotch to enjoy.
