Twitch and Shout! Factory to Air 'Home Movies' Marathon This Month

Home Movies is getting its own marathon on Twitch this month as the social streaming service will partner with Shout! Factory again to air the entire series on the show's 19th anniversary for a Bingefest.

The marathon will run from April 26th-28th where all 52 episodes of the four-season run and will include special content between episodes, including "interviews with series creators Loren Bouchard (Bob's Burgers) and Brendon Small (Metalocalypse) and episode commentaries with cast, crew and special guests." Here's a quick quote from Small about the event.

"It feels nice to know that 20 years after we made the pilot that folks still feel strongly about Home Movies," said Brendon Small. "When I think about those days I think about how effortless and fun it was writing, improvising, and making music for Home Movies. And what a talented team of funny collaborators!"

If you're not familiar with Home Movies, the show originally started on the old UPN network in 1999 and ran for five episodes before being canceled (like most new UPN shows). Cartoon Network picked up the show as one of the inaugural programs to run on Adult Swim in the Fall of 2001, airing the entire season. The popularity of the show on the block persuaded the network to revive the show, which received three more seasons between 2002-04 and helped propel a lot of the cast's careers including H. Jon Benjamin as Coach McGuirk.

As a side note, the success of Home Movies on Adult Swim started a trend for old cartoon shows getting high ratings in the opening slot and being renewed from cancelation, like Family Guy and Futurama.
