WWE SmackDown Preview: A Contract Signing? What Could Go Wrong?

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles have a contract signing on tonight's WWE SmackDown.

Before we head into a preview of tonight's edition of FOX's WWE SmackDown, we're sending out healthy vibes to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Earlier today, reports hit that Rollins suffered a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus during his match against Jinder Mahal on USA Network's WWE Monday Night Raw. It's not known at this time if his injuries will require surgery. As for tonight… we have Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles all set to be in the ring tonight to sign the contract for the Royal Rumble. Now, we're pretty much assuming that things are going to get messy – they always do at contract signings & weddings in the pro wrestling universe – but what makes this even more interesting is that Orton is also taking on Solo Sikoa tonight. And that's not even close to being all – what with U.S. Champ Logan Paul being invited by Kevin Owens to be a guest on The Kevin Owens Show and the LWO taking on Santos Escobar, Angel & Humberto in a Six-Man Tag Team match. Plus, The Unholy Union, Chance & Carter, Tyler Bate & Butch, Pretty Deadly, and more.

Here's a look at the official overviews from WWE regarding what's on tap for tonight, allowing with some video backstory in case you need to get your scorecard updated:

Reigns, Orton, Styles, and Knight Contract Signing: Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles will be in the ring to sign the contract for their monumental title match at Royal Rumble. The last time all four men shared the ring, utter bedlam erupted as The Bloodline attacked Styles, Orton, and Knight while they were competing in a Triple Threat Match to determine who would challenge Reigns at Royal Rumble.

Orton vs. Solo Sikoa: With just weeks away from Royal Rumble and the huge Fatal 4-Way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, The Viper is set to take on Solo Sikoa. Orton's ongoing crusade with The Bloodline hits the next level as the two Superstars go head-to-head for the first time in singles competition. With a contract signing also set for tonight, Orton will have his hands full, not only contending with Sikoa, but the rest of The Bloodline and the other Fatal 4-Way contestants in LA Knight and AJ Styles.

"The Kevin Owens Show" Welcomes U.S Champ Logan Paul: A special edition of "The Kevin Owens Show" is coming to Friday Night SmackDown as the No. 1 Contender for the United States Title welcomes the champion, Logan Paul. Owens earned the right to face The Maverick after winning the United States Title Tournament by defeating Santos Escobar in the finals, a result that clearly bothered Paul.

The Unholy Union vs. Chance & Carter: WWE Women's Tag Team Title: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are looking to use their mystical mayhem to reclaim the gold when the final NXT Women's Tag Team Champions challenge WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.

LWO Take on Santos Escobar, Angel, and Humberto in Six-Man Tag Team Action: Carlito, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro will represent The LWO against their bitter rivals Santos Escobar, Angel and Humberto in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Since Escobar turned his back on The LWO, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Carlito, Wilde, and Del Toro have been waiting for their chance at payback, and it will finally come on Friday Night SmackDown. With the numbers not in his favor, Escobar brought Angel and Humberto from NXT to form a new group.

Tyler Bate and Butch vs. Pretty Deadly (SmackDown rematch): After Tyler Bate answered the call from his long-time friend Butch in a match against Pretty Deadly two weeks ago, the tough-as-nails duo is now set to introduce British Strong Style to the blue brand.
