BusinessWatch: The decline of print comics and the rise of digital comics,gets covered by the business press. By someone who really really likes digital comics.
Offering comics on low-cost subscription plans makes even more sense when you consider that the primary focus of major publishers has shifted to Hollywood and other media such as TV and video games. Comic books are the ground upon which those franchises are built. Getting them in front of more readers will only lead to bigger audiences for cross-media products.
AnalysisWatch: War, Politics and Superheroes: Ethics and Propaganda in Comics and Film also gets covered;
"While 'The Adventures of Superman' radio serial has significance for fans of the character for introducing both boy photographer Jimmy Olsen and the radioactive rock Kryptonite — the only thing that can harm the invincible Superman — the 'Clan of the Fiery Cross' is definitely that radio show's finest hour," DiPaolo writes in his book.
TranslateWatch: Fantagraphics are to translate and publish the sixtiest comic book ever published – and then left out of print. Peellaert's The Adventures of Jodelle and Pravda have been out of print in France since, well, the sixties.
Both albums were originally released in France by Eric Losfeld, the controversial publisher who passionately defied censorship in the lead-up to the cultural revolution of 1968; along with Jean-Claude Forest's Barbarella, Peellaert's Jodelle and Pravda were among the earliest of European adult-oriented graphic novels.

This is Computo the Comic Link Conqueror speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.
They say I am a work in progress. The fools.
Your Nice New Outfit | The 11th Doctor- I grew up with the Tom Baker…
The 11th Doctor- I grew up with the Tom Baker Doctor in the 70's and have just recently gotten back into Doctor Who and I'm enjoying it very much. While I was watching the latest ep. I did a quick doodle of the good Doctor and while it's a much more cartoon-y style than I usually use , I added a quick Amy and a TARDIS and here ya have it. I definitely want to do a more straight up version soon :)
They weren't looking to exclude women; they just didn't think about it. It is a natural bias to connect with the character closest to you. At DC at that time, that was usually male writers and artists, so the male characters took prominence. Over the years, when fans who weren't white males would say "Why don't I see (me) in comics?" I'd say it was because THEY weren't making them. The writer works out of his own ego first.

ComicMix – BookExpo America: Where is DC Comics?
But DC Comics itself is nowhere to be seen, save for one person passing by the Diamond booth. Random House, their distributor to the trade, isn't pushing their books at all. Marvel is somewhat better represented at the Disney booth, but not well.

Vaughn: Valiant Bloodshot Project Still In Play?
SHH: What about these other things? Was adapting Valiant's "Bloodshot" something you were really considering at one point. Vaughn: I'm getting a new draft of it next week. Yeah, there are not many things. I'm so exhausted I'm going to take at least a couple months off now and then… it's very weird but if I have to make a movie, it's 'cause I see the whole thing in my head and I know it's going to be effortless in a sense of engaging my mind. That hasn't happened yet on what my next project is going to be.
