The Bromance of NYCC – Rich Johnston and Dean Haspiel Get Naked In A Bar
Strange things happen in New York City, we all know this. But New York Comic Con just seems to bring out the madness in its own incontrovertible way. The long hours shuffling around the Javitz center behind cosplayers on stilts and stilettos, the minor body wounds inflicted by idly shoved rucksacks–there's only so much you can take. And then, the panacea–a bromance blossoms to wipe it all away. Like this one between Shel Dorf Award winner Richard Johnston and Emmy Award-winning artist and cartoonist Dean Haspiel. London and Brooklyn–who'd a thunk? But it's one for the history books. They got naked in a Latino bar in a declaration of eternal love. Or at least until the con is over. Viva NYCC.
