NYCC: The Marvel Animation Panel

Madeline Ricchiuto writes for Bleeding Cool:

Marvels_Avengers_AssembleJeff Loeb, head of Marvel TV Showed three clips and a full episode from Marvel's upcoming season of cartoons, as well as some test footage.

Marvel Avengers Assemble's season 2 preview featured the return of The Winter Soldier.  In the clip Winter Soldier and Cap battle it out on a missile headed to Belarus, much like their final days of WWII. Its the Avengers Assemble version of Captain America: Winter Soldier

Ultimate Spider-Man was unofficially  subtitled Web Warriors by Loeb. The season in with Dan Slott's comics so expecttons of Spideys. One clip featured Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, fighting the Green Goblin. The second was Ultimate Spider-Man meeting Spider-Girl, where SG assumed Spider-Man was a cosplayer.

Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Meets Guardians of the Galaxy in the new season. We got to see the whole episode. While very All-Ages, the clip had something for everyone. The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Are lost in space due to the plotting of The Leader (they are now believed to be criminals for the destruction of a planet) when Cap pulls in a rescue which turns into an arrest and then a fight. It becomes apparent that the Avengers are actually a group of Skrulls. The Guardians swoop in, and they aren't actually Skrulls but the encounter turns into a fight anyway. With the confusion over, the episode turns into a team-up to take down the Skrulls. Super Skrull makes an appearance. Naturally.

The art for the animated Guardians is much more like the 2008 run of the comic than the Marvel Now! or movie versions, although the linup is still Groot, Rocket, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord.

The future of Marvel Animation? A Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon. To premiere sometime soon. (Which we have more on here.)
