Two Streets In Luton To Be Named In Memory Of Steve Dillon
Comic book artist, editor and publisher Steve Dillon, lived in Luton, Bedfordshire in the UK.
His untimely death in New York last year from a burst appendix was a knockout blow for many, and he is mourned deeply by his family, friends and the comic industry as a whole.
Well one tribute to the man has come from his home town of Luton. Where a development of 36 new homes are being built on two new streets in the Felstead Way area of the city, where Steve lived.
His friend and project engineer, Mark Rovers, has confirmed the first will be named Preacher Close, after the comic book series created by Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis, recently turned into a TV show.
And the second will be Cassidy Close, named after that series' most iconic vampire character, now played by Joe Gilgun.
Steve would have no doubt found this ridiculous. Before giving us one of those broad beams…
