Meet Young Catherine Langford in the Stargate Origins Trailer
The first trailer for the new Stargate Origins series gives us our fist look at Australian actress Ellie Gall (A Midsummer's Nightmare) as the younger version of Catherine Langford. The character, a fan favorite, has been played by Elizabeth Hoffman in SG-1, but the new story follows the younger Catherine as she embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate to save the world from an unimaginable darkness.
The new series, similar to Star Trek: Discovery, exists exclusively on a digital platform. In this case, Origins.StargateCommand.co. The 10-episode even series premieres on February 15th, 2018 and will be directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan, written by Mark Ilvedson and Justin Michael Terry. It's produced by MGM's Digital Group and is based on the franchise that was started in 1994 with the first Stargate Film that starred James Spader and Kurt Russell. It expands on the universe continued in Stargate SG-1 that ran for 10 seasons on Showtime and Syfy.
The series also stars Conner Trinneer, Shvan Aladdin, and Salome Azizi.
