Braun Strowman Must Find Partner for WrestleMania Tag Team Title Match; Here's the 3 Most Likely Choices

Last week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman single-handedly won a tag team battle royale to decide who would get a title match against The Bar at WrestleMania. Strowman's victory seemed to guarantee the Monster Among Men a shot at the titles, but that outcome wasn't confirmed until Raw General Manager Kurt Angle issued a statement on WWE.com today. Angle says that Strowman will have his title match, but he needs to find a partner.

Of course, many would say that Strowman doesn't need a tag team partner to beat a single tag team since he proved last Monday that he could defeat multiple tag teams by himself. However, Angle is the boss, so if he says Strowman has to find a partner, that's what he'll need to do.

So who will Strowman look to for the tag team title bout? Bleeding Cool has compiled the top three choices:

The Obvious Choice: Elias

Until Strowman won the tag team battle royale last Monday, the most likely WrestleMania opponent for the monster would have been Elias, with whom Strowman had been feuding for the last few weeks. Elias doesn't have anything lined up for WrestleMania, both men are extremely over with fans, and WWE loves the "partners who actually hate each other" gimmick. In fact, the current tag team champs, Sheamus and Cesaro, started out with that very same gimmick. Pairing Strowman with Elias will allow them continue their feud at WrestleMania, and if The Bar ends up retaining due to the partners fighting, Strowman can still put Elias through a few tables after the match to send the crowd home happy.

The Oddball Choice: James Ellsworth

James Ellsworth was released from WWE last November after an incredible and unlikely run on the WWE main roster. Ellsworth had run out of things to do on SmackDown, where he had gone from being involved in the world title to being Carmella's valet. But before all of that, Ellsworth was just a jobber who believed that any man with two hands has a fighting chance, who was summarily wrecked by Strowman early in the monster's singles career. Wouldn't it be great to see Ellsworth's journey come full circle by teaming up with his former nemesis on the grandest stage of them all?

The Longshot Choice: God

God has still never gotten his win back after being defeated in a tag team match by Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon at WWE Backlash in 2006. Though God's partner at the time, Shawn Michaels, has since retired, and Vince McMahon is unlikely to wrestle a match again either, but God could redeem his pro wrestling career by teaming up with Strowman and winning the titles at WrestleMania 34. The best part is, with Strowman as a partner, God doesn't even have to do any of the work. He can just sit invisibly on the ring apron and let Strowman take care of all the heavy lifting.

Who do you want to see team up with Brawn Strowman? Let us know in the comments, and tune into Monday Night Raw tonight to see if your choice comes true.
