Marvel/IDW Change Joint Line Name to… MARVEL ACTION
Marvel licensing the rights to all-ages versions of some of their more popular characters to IDW Entertainment cause all sorts of headlines, wondering if Marvel was going to license out all their intellectual properties to other comic book companies and stop publishing. The answer, naturally was no, Marvel will license out characters and publish them themselves.
Well, the IDW/Marvel line which appears in both IDW and Marvel monthly solicits/catalogues now has a new name, Marvel Action.
And so the new Spider-Man #1 will now become Marvel Action Spider-Man #1. We'll then get Marvel Action Avengers too.
Marvel Action Spider-Man #1 will be published on the 28th November 2018.
