DC Comics March 2019 Solicits Subject to Cover Leaks – Including Detective Comics #1000
Tako is back. The fellow who used to go toe-to-toe with Bleeding Cool back in the day as we competed to try and identify which new titles DC Comics were cancelling, and which they were launching or relaunching. We both had our blogs, but we also reported each other's findings. Those were halcyon days.
Well, he's back. You may have seen the Heroes In Crisis #7 cover he slipped to Bleeding Cool last week, that got everyone in a kerfuffle and for Tom King to get it pulled, replaced by a hastily recoloured version that maintained most of the kerfuffle.
But Tako has been leaking other covers on Reddit/r/dccomics as well… and playing with them as he goes. Slipping in a few messages upon request.
Chris Mooneyham's cover to Nightwing #58…
Jim Lee's cover to Detective Comics #1000…
And a retitled Deathstroke #41 – apparently that is one of the more common typos.
DC Comics' decision to delay March 2019 solicitations may have more to do with Diamond Comics holiday timing. Could it give Tako the chance to leak more and more? And yes we had to remove some of those hidden messages, but we are looking into them as well…
