Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Gets its Own Tournament
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout specialists will have a brand new tournament to sink their teeth into now that Treyarch has partnered with BoomTV to host a Blackout tourney on the Alcatraz map.
This is not part of the regular Call of Duty World League esports cycle, and as its hosted by BoomTV, anyone can enter for their chance at the $40,000 USD prize pool. The Blackout tournament will take place on April 25, 2019 from 2pm EST to 9pm EST. As it is an online tournament, players will have to stream their game with their teammates. BoomTV will take each player's top 5 best games and rank them. The top 10 squads will be eligible for a share of the prize pool.
You can sign up for the tournament here. Players can compete on any platform.
To get fans ramped up for the tournament, Treyarch released a short game trailer showing off some of Alcatraz's gameplay, while also explaining the tournament and its base rules. You can check that out below.
