Cyberpunk 2077 will Not Be Playable at E3 This Year
CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is on everyone's E3 wishlist this year, alongside Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, however we haven't known what to expect from Cyberpunk or CD Projekt for this year's E3 until today.
Global Community Lead at CD Projekt Red Marcin Momot took to Twitter to confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be playable at E3 this year. However, CD Projekt will be hosting gameplay presentations for the public.
Momot clarified that the gameplay will be new, and it will be watchable by everyone attending the expo this year. The first gameplay presentation will be seen at the Developer's Theater for general attendees while another presentation will be behind-closed-doors for invitees only. There will be differences between the two presentations, so those able to snag an invite for the closed-doors presentation will also want to check out the general presentation as well.
Momot didn't clarify if the Developer's Theater footage for Cyberpunk will be shared online for those unable to make it to LA for E3 2019. However, even if the footage doesn't show up online immediately, it will probably be released at a later date. CD Projekt did something similar with last year's E3 presentation, after all.
Cyberpunk 2077 does not have a release date just yet, but we expect it to launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It's entirely possible that some of the E3 news surrounding the game this year will include a release date, but that's not certain at this time.
