Captain Marvel #9 Sells Out Ahead of Going On-Sale Over New Character, Star
The comic doesn't come out until Wednesday, But Diamond Comic Distributors has already sold out of Captain Marvel #9. And the aftermarket is starting to sneak up priced, with repeat copies of the standard cover selling for $5 and the 80th Anniversary cover selling for $6.
Meanwhile, copies of Captain Marvel #8 with the first appearance of hot new character Star have fallen since release day, but still sell repeatedly at $8-15 and above.
Though there is a lot of attention being given to Captain Marvel #1 from eight months – which may have actually been Star's firat appearance in a civilian identity, journalist Ripley Ryan… if it is indeed her…
Anyway, just in case you wanted a copy of #9, do let your comic store know in advance…
