2000AD And Valiant Comics Advance Further Into Europe
Valiant Entertainment has signed three new European deals for their titles, for Spain's Aleta Ediciones, Italy's Star Comics and France's Bliss Comics.
Aleta's initial Spanish line of comics that began this year, including Archer & Armstrong, Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior and Harbinger has now signed up for a a long term programme, taking in more series. While Star Comics and Bliss Comics will begin publishing X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Archer & Armstrong, Divinity, Quantum and Woody and more next year, in print and digital formats.
Valiant will be making appearances at conventions across Europe to help launch the lines.
Meanwhile European publisher Rebellion, of 2000AD and Judge Dredd Magazine, has gone slightly further afield, announcing Sláine the King and Alan Moore's Future Shocks collections will be transated into Polish and added to Studio Lain's expanding list of 2000 AD titles in Eastern Europe.
Studio Lain have previously published Polish translations of Absalom by Gordon Rennie and Tiernen Trevallion, Stickleback: England's Glory by Ian Edginton and D'Israeli, Halo Jones by Alan Moore and Ian Gibson, and a hardback edition of ABC Warriors: Black Hole by Pat Mills, Simon Bisley, and SMS
