A General, A Supercomputer And A Grizzly Bear Walk Into A Bar…

Chewler is the 88-page, balls-to-the-wall, action-packed comedy tale of a former spec ops general who is called out of retirement by Grandmother Supreme (a super computer who is in charge of the United States) to stop an eccentric millionaire who aspires to bring Adolf Hitler back to life for his own gain!

David Brown writes,

For years now, I have had an itch. No, not that kind of itch (don't worry; I went to the clinic just in case). The itch was to finally write the comic that defined me. I've always been known as a bit of an oddball. I am a fan of weird stuff…'Twin Peaks' or 'Holy Mountain' comes to mind. Actually, anything by David Lynch or Jodorowsky entertains and inspires me to no end. To write a comic in that same bizarre yet massively entertaining vein was always my calling.

But even if I did write it, who would draw it?

Fast forward to a handful of months ago…something was in the air. An artist friend of mine, Shannon Gretzon (The Disgruntled Avenger) and I started talking about doing a project together. He had mentioned watching some documentaries on the links between the Nazi's and the occult. Right then and I mean right then, I could feel that itch starting to be scratched. Being interested in conspiracy stuff myself, we started hammering out what would eventually become 'Chewler'.

As we began laying out the plot and designing the characters, I knew this was going to be an absolute blast to write. And I was correct! Shannon's unique art style lends itself perfectly to the kind of vibe I was going for. What we ended up with is a massively entertaining and very funny book! When it was all said and done, we ended up with 88 pages of calculated insanity…a resurrected Hitler chained to a toilet, a mad bowtie wearing millionaire, skinheads, a supercomputer who runs the United States, an inter-species romance and lots of ketchup! Don't say I didn't warn you!
