Advance Reorders – Sandman, Star Wars And Walking Dead Crush The Floppies
Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!
This week, there is a lot of collection action. A lot. The Sandman Overture hardcover takes the top spot, followed by the Star Wars first two collections and the latest Walking Dead collection. When it gets to the singles though, it's a Secret Wars/Star Wars mix, with the new Figment series breaking through.
Cyborg and Godzilla In Hell are second issues boosted by the performance of the first, and Fight Club 2 continues to resist the natural reaction of retailers to drop copies as they race to get more for the fourth issue.
Also notable is Fables #150/Vol 22 which everyone wants more copies of it seems…
