Anomaly 2: The Rubicon Announced By Brian Haberlin At The Diamond 2017 Summit – Only In Comic Shops
The Diamond Summit 2017 is underway in Chicago ahead of C2E2. And Bleeding Cool has eyes and ears on the floor.
Brian Haberlin of Anomaly Productions announced the sequel to the remarkable Anomaly comic book, Anomaly 2: The Rubicon, out this September.
The original was a massive sci-fi/fantasy epic that used AR like no one else before and, frankly, few have attempted since, with characters, space ships and scenes flying off the page, using phones and tablets.
Takes place right after Anomaly 1, The Rubicon is their Empire Strikes Back, but it's planned as a new jumping on point for readers.
And for the first two months, it will be only available through comic shops, not on Amazon.
Anomaly have committed $00,000 in ads for it, with pre-rolls running before films at cinemas.
It will launch with augmented pages like the first one and be updated with new content bi-monthly.
They are also creating a commercial repository for retailers to use. Will create cards with store info for individual stores that contain augmented videos for Anomaly.
