Is Bernie Sanders A Secret Anime Fan?

Bernie Sanders may have lost the Democratic Presidential Primary, but at least he's still having fun. The U.S. Senator was spotted on site at Anime Boston, self-billed as the Northeast's largest anime convention.  Apparently, Sanders was in town for speaking engagements and political rallies, according to a report from the Boston Globe, and must have just decided, screw it, let's go check out the anime convention while we're here. Sanders ended up walking right into the middle of a cosplay battle, stunning onlookers.

It should be no surprise that Bernie Sanders is down with anime. We mean, just look at him. It's also not his first connection to geek culture. Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver is a lifelong comic book fan, and a comics retailer who owns the shop Victory Comics in Virginia.
