Black Adam Rips Apart Stars And Stripes in New Doomsday Clock Cover
A new image for an upcoming cover of Doomsday Clock, Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's unauthorised sequel to Watchmen, appears in DC Comics titles today, featuring Black Adam tearing apart the Stars And Stripes flag of the USA while Creeper dances behind him and Giganta towers over him…
We've seen them all in the fictitious DC Comics country of Kahndaq, visited by Superman in Doomsday #8, ruled over by Black Adam and offering itself as a sanctuary for any super-types against a world turning against them after the Supermen Theory went viral.
Given that this suggests that the superheroes of the world were created by governments–specifically the USA–as potential weapons of mass destruction, could this indicate Kahndaq going to war with the USA? Or is it a more personal callout to Superman?
The upcoming issue of Doomsday Clock has now slipped to February the 13th…
