Who had this to say,
Few titles this week made it possible for several books to leap up to the top ten.
Increased interest in the first appearances of characters who seem destined to play larger roles in the Rebirth Universe.
Can you say BLAH…….. What a Boring week. All focus has shipped to Harley Quinn and Civil war. The BVS hype has ended as fast as it started. Let's see how April starts out. JJ
Is there even such a thing as a big week anymore?
Saga takes the #1 spot for us. Not surprising considering the lackluster output of the BigTwo. DC barely remembered there was a 5th Wednesday but still made 3 spots. JLA was #3, B&R Eternal dropped to #7 and Aquaman squeaked onto the list at #10.
Lack of competition puts Darth Vader at #2. Highest charting Marvel U book is Daredevil at #4. Cap, Squirrel Girl and some X-Folk round out the rest.
Saga and Daredevil were the only books I had customers express genuine excitement about reading. Even if it was to see how much more Charles Soule could ruin their beloved character.Another good week for tp sales as the single issue shelves held little interst for many.
WOW, talk about a slow week. With barely anything from Marvel and DC (DC had only FOUR new books!!)lots of indie stuff made it into our top ten. Rick and Morty, Fight Club 2, and Saga all had no trouble making it high on our list, and we had an awesome seller with TMNT Deviations. Seems like people are hungry for "What Ifs" to come back!
It's all about Negan and the Walking Dead this week. We're seeing BIG demand for issue 100, especially the second printing variant that features the upcoming TV show bad on the cover. In fact, #98-102 are all in demand.
Marvel had most of the top ten spots. Darth Vader sales were good. Justice League of America 8 was a very hot seller over the last two days. I looked forward to a decent two days of comic sales but the totals were very low. Lowest for the month. Scary low. Shocked the heck out of me. I knew there were 5 Wednesdays this month so the comics sales would be spread out more but never imagined such a low amount. Customers are starting to decide to wait till June to get into the new Civil War II and Rebirth first issues. Why get into something if it's just going to end? Hercules was dropped by multiple people now that it has gotten out that it is getting cancelled. Starting to understand why Marvel tries to let their titles being cancelled with out letting anyone know. Cold week. Hoping it will not be like this till June.
Marvel is really missing out by not having a Punisher series. People want new material.
