Bloodshot Reborn #1 Debuts with 45,000 Sales

Yesterday, Bleeding Cool looked at the Jeff Lemire secret inside every issue of Bloodshot Reborn #1. And lots of you seem to have been able to discover it for yourselves.

It's not sold out yet, but we're told that orders for Bloodshot Reborn #1 — Valiant's new ongoing series by Jeff Lemire and Mico Suayan hitting shelves this Wednesday — has amassed orders of 45,000, making it one of Valiant's most successful series to date and 2015's highest charting release from a non-premier publisher.

Bolstered by a high-profile creative team, Bloodshot Reborn is obviously a priority for the resurgent Valiant, who have already publicly announced that work is concurrently underway on the first 25 issues of the series. While Mico Suayan is handling art duties for the first story arc, "Colorado," the publisher has already stated that Bloodshot Reborn #5 will be a standalone issue featuring artwork by Raul Allen , and the second and third story arcs will feature artwork by Eisner nominee Butch Guice and Lewis LaRosa respectively.

Is Bloodshot Reborn the most far-ahead series in comics today? It might very well be so…
