The Californian Comic Store Celebrating #BreyfogleDay Today
This Thursday, Dr. Cain's Comics, of San Luis Obispo, California, is celebrating the creative life of the late Norm Breyfogle, who died eighteen months ago. The store owners state,
As I am sure you know we lost Breyfogle a few years back and he remains one of the great underrated comic artists. We are trying to change that with #BreyfogleDay. I'd love to see comic shops everywhere pick up the baton and run with Breyfogle Day at some point.
Norm Breyfogle is one of the most underrated mainstream comics artists I can think of. One of my personal favorites that never got his due. Unfortunately he has passed on. Next Thursday the 27th would have been his 60th birthday. To celebrate his art and share a bit of the joy it brought me we will be giving a free Norm Breyfogle comic to all customers on the 27th. Some of Norm's original art will be on display as well courtesy of "The Luchador" creator Jandro Gamboa We will also be celebrating by donating to heroinitiative.org and invite you to join us in that too!
Anybody else fancy joining in?
