Clayton Crain On Rai Forever

So much so that some have worried how long he can keep it up for. And, even as an exclusive creator at Valiant, if he will be headhunted again.

Well, Ian Melton reported back after talking to comic creators at Rose City Comic Con last weekend.  Including Clayton Crain…

Clayton Crain was very much into doing sketches and talking process at RCCC.  When talking about Rai and his design of the future world for Valiant's popular title he did not do any research into how Japan looked now, and that since it is a world so far removed from ours the design and look would be so totally different.

He is loving working on Rai though and wants the series to harken back to old school runs he enjoyed.  For now he has no plans to leave Rai and wants to build up a nice lengthy run with Matt Kindt on the series.

In addition he wanted readers to know the little known fact that for most of his popular runs he designed the logos for them, such as the Venom / Carnage mini-series and of course the Carnage logo they are still using – though not Rai.

So you're not getting rid of Clyton any time soon…
