The Culinerdy Cruzer of Sacramento – Nerdy Food Truck Becomes Geeky Restaurant
The Culinerdy Cruzer is a food truck operating in Sacramento for the past seven years, that is about to go all bricks'n'mortar currently coming to downtown Sacramento. Setting up at 524 12th St, the owner Keith Breedlove told local news station KCRA that "To go from a tiny little truck in 108-degree Sacramento heat to having a pretty good-sized kitchen and A/C — it's a great move."
The Culinerdy Kitchen has taken over from a Mexican restaurant, one of the few restaurants in the area. Opened with his wife, Amy Breedlove, and business partners Bryan and Hope Schear. Keith has created a venue covered with comic book art on the walls and tables, which are also decorated with everything from Star Wars scenes to Magic: The Gathering cards.
The restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch Sunday through Friday, serving Brussels sprouts, mac 'n' cheese, burgers and a wide selection of pancakes. Breedlove says that "we get into food like a Star Trek fan gets into Star Trek. We love adding different elements of food science to what we do. Physiology of taste, all that. And just food that is comfort food."
And the original food truck will still be available for special events.
Say maybe they can rig it up aa Josh Hoopes trap?
