Darkwing Duck #1 Gets Over 109,000 Orders From Comic Shops

Another six-figure seller from Dynamite and Disney with Darkwing Duck #1 out this past week. More to come?

As we previously reported, initial orders of Darkwing Duck #1 from Disney and Dynamite were 35,775 from comic stores. But the Dynamite effect of a well-promoted Final Order Cut-Off opportunity for retailers saw those orders triple to 109,000 and change. That's another Disney Dynamite book making six-figure orders, after Gargoyles #1 grabbed 179,000 orders. Darkwing Duck #1, Gargoyles #1 and #2 have also been grabbing high reorder numbers to add to those totals. How will Scar do?

The offer to retailers included a 1:250 variant edition signed by the series writer Amanda Deibert which was originally 1:1000 but was brought down a little. Also, Amanda Deibert's wife Cat Staggs is doing one of the FOC covers, keeping things in the family. Darkwing Duck #2 is now out on the 22nd of February.
