COMIXOLOCAUST

Shaun Huston asks, what happens to your digital comics when your provider goes away?

Like many of the users I saw on Twitter, my most immediate frustration (panic?) was over books I had not yet read, and even, to some extent, whether the service was secure enough to start making purchases again. I was not among the smaller group of readers taking to Twitter in the aftermath of the data breach expressing anger or frustration over the loss of my investment, despite the fact that the total amount I've spent is likely in the range of $1,000 (maybe even approaching $2,000. This is my rough estimate based on number of titles and what I typically spend on individual purchases. In any case, not an amount to take casually).

CHASTITY BELT AND BRACES

Marc Andreyko and artist Dave Acosta are revivig the Chaos comic, Chastity, for Dynamite Entertainment.

In Chastity #1, in the 1980's, after a career-ending injury shatters her (and, really, her mother's) Olympic dreams, 17-year-old Chastity Marks finds an escape in a popular series of vampire novels… but little does she know that the novels conceal a secret underworld of blood, agony, and death- a world that she will be dragged into kicking and screaming.

CUSTFELD2014001-coverREV-610x926FREE COMICS, EXPENSIVE LINK

The Marvel Universe Live show gets a free comic book by Frank Tieri and Miguel Sepulveda. And a paid-for remote control…

The comic will be available for free April 16 to those who pre-order tickets. The story of the show centers around Loki's quest to reassemble the Cosmic Cube (aka the Tesseract from the Avengers movie) after Thor smashed it to bits — it's an adventure that spans the entire Marvel universe and features the Avengers, Wovlerine, Spider-Man, and their signature villains. The prequel comic will show just how Thor wound up with the cube, and it will also introduce a new gadget added to Marvel lore just for the show: the Lectro Link.

Available to purchase during pre-order or at the show, the Lectro Link is an item created by scientists Tony Stark and Peter Parker that "provides a remote power source for the Iron Man suit." One can just imagine Iron Man finding himself powerless and so he calls on the kids in the audience to help recharge his suit with their Lectro Links a la Peter Pan asking for applause to bring Tinkerbell back to life.

WHAT DOES THE FOXX SAY IN HINDI?

Meet the Hindi voice of Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2, Vivek Oberoi.

For an actor who had developed the quintessential chocolate boy image after films like Saathiya, Vivek seems to be enjoying playing the bad guy of late. "That's a good thing, isn't it? Don't girls love bad boys?" the actor says with a laugh, before adding, "But yes, it's been a long time since I have done a romantic role. If an offer comes up, I will definitely do it."

Thanks to Macey Lavoie for the assist.
